Mediation Experience

Katherine is an Associate Mediator at the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and an Appointed Mediator for both the Community Mediation Centre (CMC) and the Singapore International Mediation Institution (SIMI). She has over 9 years of experience in Mediation and actively presides over mediation cases with the CMC, serving residents in Singapore facing social, relational, and community disputes. She actively engages with law students to spread the word of mediation to our youths. She was one of the key judges in the national IMSG competition, cultivating prospective mediators.

Katherine is drawn to mediation because of its method of dispute resolution, a collaborative rather than an adversarial one. “Mediation has taught me to be patient, attentive to the needs and interests of others, and it is the only solution to settle a dispute amicably.”
