In August 2019, history was made when Singapore hosted the ceremony for the signing of the Singapore Convention on Mediation.
Following such signing, on 8 August 2019, the Society of Mediation Professionals (Singapore), in cooperation with JAMS and the International Bar Association Mediation Committee, organised the Global Dispute Resolution Think Tank “Singapore Convention on Mediation: Life After 7 August 2019”, where panelists discussed the practicalities of adoption and integration of cross-border mediation as an effective dispute resolution mechanism.
